I vaguely recall it being said in an interview on Newsarama that Norman was appointed by Bush before Obama is sworn in. Which really doesn't surprise me, and I expect that the Dark Reign storyline will do everything it can to keep its fictional Obama from being overly assosciated for Osborn/Dark Reign, probably by portraying him as wary of Osborn but unable to fire him because he's too popular.

Its probably very fair to say comics are left-leaning/liberal. An creative lifestyle usually leans that way I think. (LOL Chuck Dixon would obviously disagree.)

Just the nature of the writers/artists. We all know Civil War when Millar wrote was a very thinly veiled criticism of what he thought of the Bush Administration.

But by the same token writers/artists will criticize everyone they feel goes against their persoan/political beliefs.

Right now, its the Obama love fest (and as Quesada said, he's a fellow comic fan, of course we're going to give him all the praise and respect at the moment).

As time goes by, if things happen that people in the industry don't agree with, no doubt along will come the opposing viewpoints in the comics.

Nature of politics. Everyone gets their chance to say their peace. Even in comics.
