Just how evil is Mark Waid?
Yesterday Rich Johnston showed off a new shirt making its way through the Diamond warehouse, declaring “Mark Waid is Evil.” Now banner ads are popping up on the Bendis Board:
The banner links off to this site, a placeholder, most likely, for Waid’s as-yet-unannounced project for BOOM! Studios. No doubt we’ll find out more at the New York Comic Con.

If Mark Waid is evil, does that make Final Crisis “the day Mark Waid won”?
I’m especially enjoying this month’s “Faces of Mark Waid” cover theme at DC.
(NOTE: I would buy every DC comic in a month if they were all actually covers with faces of Mark Waid)

I just picture Mark nattering, “Yes…a ‘project.’ That’s it…” and looking away shiftily.
(I feel bad now, because on my blog the tag for him is “A rare fumble from Mark Waid” because he screwed up a flashback in a Captain America story; but I keep using that tag even when he delivers!)

My I saw it, I first thought, “Oh…he must be bringing back Empire to Boom.”
