Oh, wow, is that Karl Kershl doing the the art in that Teen Titans pic? It looks like his work on Abominable Charles Christopher. If the rest of the art is that good, I need to pick that up.

Thanks for the information Dean! I basically stopped getting comics due to some financial problems. (fixed now with new job) I’ve loved your stuff since picking some of it up at Baltimore Con (the year the hurricane hit it) when you commented on my Texas accent.

Billy Dogma especially, which I still have the first 2 collections of.

Oh and I’ll have to check out High Moon, given that I just realized it has Steve Ellis working on it. I LOVED the 3 (still need to someday find issue 4) issues of Tranquility he did way back when.

Thx for the ACT-I-VATE props, Tim. I was excited to complete FEAR, MY DEAR alongside my ACT-I-VATE cohorts.

James Schee — I had some cool books come out in 2008. I collaborated with author/pal Jonathan Ames and illustrated THE ALCOHOLIC [Vertigo], as well as, collaborated with underground comix legend, Jay Lynch, on MO & JO: FIGHTING TOGETHER FOREVER [Toon Books]. I also illustrated all 4-issues of Harvey Pekar’s AMERICAN SPLENDOR – Season Two [coming out soon as a collection called "ANOTHER DOLLAR" from Vertigo], and a wrote/drew a short BILLY DOGMA story in POPGUN Vol.2 [Image].

Wow, I guess this is a sign of how far outside of comics I’ve become. Because outside of Brubakers Captain America (In HCs) and the Zot! collection. I haven’t read any of the other stuff listed by anyone. Heck a lot of it I haven’t even heard of (Alex Robinson and Dean Haspiel did new books? Awesome!)

So thanks gang, as it gives me the basis for a shopping list as I go into 2009.
