The more I hear about Beasts of Burden the more into it I get.

But to maximize hopefully against people who may wait for the trade purely because besides the 4 issues they'll put the original stories from those varioius DH Hardcover books, they should rerelease those stories in a one-shot so most people will want to get all the singles.

Otherwise, my first reaction was "Wait for the trade on that so I can get ALL the stories."

My faves:
Starting with issue #600, Archie will be marrying BOTH Veronica and Betty, and having kids.

The upcoming Super Pets story in Johnny DC's Super Friends title. (Topo! Kanga!)

So, is this Dark Horse Noir Anthology a monthly series, a mini, a graphic novel, what? The press release doesn't say. I'll be getting it no matter what, I'm just curious.

I am also thrilled about the Vertigo Crime Line and happy to know that September is the kick-off month. Vertigo is such a brilliant imprint. The HBO of comics, indeed.

Lafuente's stuff looks fantastic to me. I'm actually kind of excited for all the new Ultimate Comics (well, except for Jeph Loeb's continued involvement). Looks like the line may become relevant again.

I've not read anything by Hickman, but that pick by Eaglesham alone is going to get me to at least pick up the first issue of their FF. I don't remember the last time I saw Ben look so great.

My list goes on, but those are the main ones. I'm even cautiously intrigued by Claremont's new X book. It may be exactly what he needs. There were so many great announcements at this con.

David LaFuente can't draw Peter and MJ's faces well. Look again at his annual, and tell me you like those faces! Bagley is still king, Immonen was 95% spectacular (Though he too had problems with hair and faces) DL faces need to improve BIG TIME! It can be done. But things aren't looking good for that title, no way.

September is going to be an excellent month for crime fiction comics.

The Vertigo Crime Line kicks off, and there's a Dark Horse Noir anthology?

Holy crap.

Can't wait!

The two at the bottom are the only ones of these I'm really excited about.

I'm more excited about Ed Brubaker's new "The Marvels Project"...err...project, the Doctor Who ongoing, and the Sherlock Holmes series Dynamite announced. Everything else is just cautious optimism until I know more info. (For instance: I'm a huge Geoff Johns fan and Francis Manapul is a fantastic artist, but until I know WTF Adventure Comics is about I can't even begin to be excited.)
