LOL, Scott... Good point. :-)

But honestly, the reason no one's tried to adapt HP into comics? I'm sure Ms. Rowling's been asked, but she's probably got no interest in doing it. I can't say as I blame her either... She's told the story she wanted to tell (and told it quite well I might add), so where else is there to go? We even know what adulthood holds in store for Harry, given the epilogue at the end of Deathly Hallows, so I don't see a reason for HP comics.

I suppose there could be other stories set in Harry's magical world that branch off from the HP novels, but how do we know that Rowling won't want to revisit that herself one day? I also don't see her allowing others to "play in her sandbox." As a HP fan, I'm OK with this. Why cheapen the novels with a comic series that has no guarantee of quality? Given DC's recent output, I think that's a valid concern.

Anyhow, I am looking forward to Bats in Barcelona... Mark Waid, continuity-free Batman, and Bruce Wayne wearing the cowl. Sold.

I'll pick up the Blackest Night #0 since it's gonna be free, and that will help decide if I really want to invest in the actual mini or just stick with usual purchasing of GL/GLC.

I believe D.C. did already adapt Harry Potter to comics. It was called Books of Magic and, through some sort of prestidigitation, they put it out before there was a Harry Potter.

True, there was no GL solicit, but the one that was solicited last month won't be released until May (Well, that's just my guess. It's not on the website so God only knows when it'll be released.), so I guess it evens out.
