Then it turned out not to be. So bravo to Dustin Nguyen for a kick ass bit of imagery, there. I love the idea of back-up features, 'cus of nostalgia. And seeing how the entire "fights in tights" genre works entirely on nostalgia, I'm presumably not the only one. But I also think these price rises (and the resulting drive to make them seem value-added with back-up features, etc) are the death-throes of the comic as a monthly direct market periodical, so whadda-I-know? IF done right, this could actually help the main title; say Paul Pope does a few 5 pagers in the back of DMZ, etc. The creator rights on the single issues might complicate it though. DC hasn't appealed to me in a long time, but between this and the AMAZING Wednesday Comics weekly, my interest is caught.
