I haven’t heard Thing 1 about this project.

I have NO idea what it is.

I’m a HUGE Kamandi fan.

What does this say about the advertising for this?

I agree with everything you said. There are two reasons I continue to give this shop money (even though one of the guys that works there refuses to read Watchmen because “the main character dies in the first issue!” Seriously.) 1. I like to shop local…so I don’t order any comics/graphic novels from the net. 2. It’s close to my place.

I shop local because my hope is that I will open a shop and people will continue the great tradition of shopping at brick-and-mortar stores. There are good ones out there, but you have to find them.

I don’t care about the cost. Gibbons and Sook on the Prince Valiant-styled Kamandi has won me over.

I’d call that sad rather than funny. As a comic book retailer, he should be aware of this project. It’s been all over the internet since even before it was officially announced. One of the many reasons I don’t go to comic shops anymore.

If this doesn’t become a giant success for DC, then I don’t know what will. To me, this seems like it would appeal to everyone – DC regulars, people looking to read casually, nostalgics, etc. I can’t wait.
