Howdy Tim;

One of the two FLUKE organizers here. I really appreciate you coming out to FLUKE Saturday and giving it a try. We try to emphasize that the show is teeny-weeny compared to SPX, MoCCA, APE, DragonCon, Sunnyville Pie Bake-Off, and that its space is in the second story of a bar. We did have more room than last year after Tasty World rearranged pool tables and booths awhile back. It felt like we had 30% more exhibitor space. I'm glad to see you enjoyed FLUKE and hope I can meet you next year.

I was there all day and I didn't get a chance to really talk with everyone I wanted to either.

While I'm here, I want to plug my issue of Big Deal Comics #10; Knocked 'Em.
http://patrickdean.livejournal.com/188732.html
I'll have it for sale on my website eventually. The FLUKE website will also have some of our past anthologies for sale as well as this years FLUKE t-shirts.

Tim,
I didn't know you were semi-local, OR that you were at the show - I'd have liked to have met in person. Hope you enjoyed the time you did have, and next time, flag me down, and I'll pass on some minis to you.

Saturday was my first time ever showing at a comics show. I'll have to admit that the prospect of sitting behind a little table and explaining what these things were that I made to strangers seemed totally terrifying to me. Fortunately, the environment at FLUKE was so laid back and the people there so friendly that I was able to shake my jitters and have a really great time. I met a lot of really nice people and collected a huge bag full of awesome comics. I feel so encouraged and gung-ho about making comics now! Thanks to everyone there and especial thanks to you, Tim for giving me a mention up above, I hope you enjoyed Skim Milk!

Brett and Jeremy, thanks for the links.

Brett, the last time I set foot in Athens before Saturday was 1985. I definitely intend on heading back before FLUKE (and before the college football season starts!) to check out Athens more. Bizzaro Wuxtry will be one of my first stops, promise.

This was my fourth visit to fluke, I'll be chronicling my visit in my daily journal comic:

http://www.thebrainseed.com/odyssey

Our table was right across from Martyn's, and I feel pretty lousy for missing a chance to speak with you! But I'm pretty glad you have a really awesome time there. I'm curious if you've been to Athens often, and experienced the joys of Bizzaro Wuxtry, since it sounded like you were on a bit of a tight schedule. I'm just saying that it must be seen.

Also, I'll be posting a preview of the latest journal comic I put together and debuted at Fluke this year as well. So give that a look see.
