I like how much people complain about the $3.99 price point now, but I have a whole bunch of older comics from 2001-2005 that, with Canadian exchange rate, ranged from $3.50 to $4.25 thanks to the weak Canuck dollar. Right now my store will gouge me by upping the cover price based on some outdated exchange model and charge about $3.65, so I did quite enjoy paying $3 for a very short while...

Anyways, point being that I never liked paying $4 for a comic, but it was always worth it for the great stuff (Alias, Runaways, etc).

I have no desire to see another news story about Wizard unless it is their final announcement.

The only thing that takes the sting out of the $3.99 price point for me is the fact that my shop gives a 30% discount. This brings a $3.99 book down to $2.79 which makes it much easier to justify the increase to my wallet. If it wasn't for that 30% I'd seriously be cutting back on my weekly pulls and be waiting on the trades for a lot of titles.
