i absolutely cannot stand Mallard Fillmore. it is the most un-funny comic strip i have ever read in my life. is it supposed to be funny? i mean, i don't like Doonesbury all that much either, but sometimes i get a kick out of it. not once in my entire life have i ever found Mallard Fillmore to be remotely laughable.

I want to know *now*, not have to buy the book for it.

That's pretty arrogant.

Sounds to me like they slapped the "GAY" tag on her for sheer titillation factor.

I mean, isn't Renee Montoya already a far-superior, better-fleshed lesbian heroine already?

I don't particulary care that the new Batwoman is gay. I believe in Gay rights, but I don't read superhero comics for the sexual life of their characters, straight or otherwise. If they manage to make her interesting *despite* all the "LOOK! A LESBIAN HERO!" hype, then I'll read her series.

Speaking of which, what do we know about her? Other than the fact she's rich and was Montoya's lover? So far, nothing DC has revealed has "hooked" me into the character. Heck, I'm annoyed a dilettante just put on a batman costume and none of the other heroes have called it on her. What qualifies her to be a member of the Batfamily? What makes her different from Batgirl or the Huntress? I want to know *now*, not have to buy the book for it. That's for more personal details.
