Michael, Farrah and Ed … thanks for the memories

7 Comments

A part of our youth has died for a lot of us out there. There is no right age when it comes to losing someone, just the loss itself and the grief that follows.

Godspeed to three very different, yet distinct individuals who left their mark on a great many people.

@Martin – “Heeeeere’s Johnny!”

Ed Mcmahon . . . from the Johnny Carson Show? Sorry, in the UK here! I am old enough to remember Johnny Nevada!

Thanks.

Michael Jackson certainly “left his mark” on some little children… No reason to sugarcoat things with that guy, even in death.

Nobody is trying to “sugarcoat” anything. For those who cared, it’s as simple as this: You either stood by the man or you shunned him.

Twenty-five years ago, Michael’s passing would have caused riots. I once lived in a time when the world idolized Michael Jackson. His talent was unquestionable. We will never know why he changed so much or acted the way he did or what the deal was regarding his behavior in later years.

Despite the scandals that followed, Michael Jackson defined pop culture for a generation and brought joy to a great many people. This is his legacy. Most of us will remember him for that, first and foremost.

Yes that mark being the “Found Not guilty” mark. Grow up.
