Weeeell, it's now close to midnight, Greenwich time (not to mention the day after the event), but I just saw that the BBC web site has a front page headline about the issue.

Make of that what you will.

We sent out PR emails on Friday, and let me tell you, it's pretty tricky writing about and hyping something you have no real idea what it will be. On Monday we did some sales, a handful of people who were not regular comic buyers came in. Mostly it was Fans who had been tracking the story, and people who bought one, once we told them about it. Now it's about waiting and seeing if the story has legs. The 'Dead Robin' Batman book didn't really start to become a thing until the general public got in on the act, and it takes time for them to find us. But hey, Marvel made the issue cheap enough wholesale wise, so if you were smart you ordered within your budget and you should be good.

Even if my LCS sold this comic on Monday, I wouldn't bother to go get it until Wednesday. With the price of gasoline approaching $3 again, it's completely stupid to make a separate trip to buy 1 comic.

I imagine those rich fat cats who work in promoting these things don't have a clue about life in the real world.
