SIege of Asgard might have been part of "the List" at first. The editor did say there was something removed

What i think is BS is that this doesn't seem to be the only title left off the Marvel solicitations.

Wasn't there also some of the Dark Reign List stuff and an ASM extra?

Shouldn't Marvel send out a news release about this I mean they do want people to know anout their books don't they?

And yeah, JMS off Thor is way too soon, he was just beginning to create something wonderful. Damn you Bendis and your Seige of Asgard and JMS' run!

What about Fraction and Zircher? Ages of Thunder was some of the best stuff in 2008, and Zircher drew the Hel out of it.

Oh gods PLEASE don't let Millar near this title. I like his work and all but he's just not the right guy for Thor.

Fraction's great, but they should let him focus on X-Men for a while. What's Joe Kelly Doing these days? I seem to remember that he always had big "god-sized" ideas. Or maybe this "Seige of Asgard" is Millar and Mcniven's big swan song to Marvel? Sad to see JMS go, but there are lots of possibilities.

Yeah, Fraction's a shoo-in.

Get Coipel and Djurdjevic on rotating arcs, and all should be fine.

As much as I'm disappointed to see JMS leave, I'd rather not have another McDuffie/JLA scenario where a writer was forced to write based on editorial dictates. If he doesn't want to do a big crossover event (and I don't blame him at all) then its better for the book that he leaves. I've stuck by this book, delays and all, because the writing AND art are incredible. I'd rather it be handed off to someone else than have the quality suffer because a writer is being forced to write something he's not excited about.

Its been said already in review after review, but Matt Fraction is my pick to write this book once JMS leaves. His one-shots were awesome and I'd love to see how he handles the current situation with Thor and the Asgardians. I'm not looking forward to Thor being pulled into the greater Marvel U via a big crossover but if anyone can pull it off it would be Fraction.
