Warner Home Video has announced that the sixth Superman/Batman: Public Enemies DVD will arrive in stores on Sept. 29.
The animated movie adapts the first storyline from the title of the same name, by Jeph Loeb and Ed McGuinness. In it, Lex Luthor claims Superman is connected to a Kryptonite asteroid heading for Earth, and Luthor puts a bounty out on the duo. This puts them at odds with various heroes and villains.

So... Having only paged through the trade of this story a couple of times and not really reading it in depth, someone help me here. Luthor, a known criminal becomes President. Unlikely, but after Bush, Jr I guess anything's possible. But then he somehow manages to convince the public (and a bunch of Superman's friends and colleagues) that Superman, who's saved the Earth countless times, is sending a meteorite to Earth. A meteorite made of the only substance that can kill him? WTF?
So another article I read about this DVD said that they got Kevin Conroy, Tim Daly and Clancy Brown back to voice Bats, Supes and Luthor. That's a HUGE plus! What it didn't say was whether or not all the other heroes that were in the original story will be appearing. Anyone know?
My other gripe about the story was having Supes and Bats getting their asses handed to them by Captain Marvel and Hawkman... Just curious if that'll be happening in the DVD too.
