Point of order:

Doc Savage was first published in 1933.

Buck hit the stands in 1928 (1929 as a comic).

Definitely looking forward to Winick's treatment of the new Batman, after Morrison's left me cold (and Dini's looks to be fantastic).

Interesting week - DC and Indie for me. I don't see anything worth buying from Marvel this week. (But the upcoming Iron Fist Omnibus looks sweet.)

Not to nitpick, but Wrath of Khan was in 1982. The Search for Spock was released 25 years ago last week. KHANNNNN!!!

As for the comics, I'm looking for the Final Crisis HC tomorrow. That's it for me this week.

I was going to bust you on the 25th century bit in the blog title (Wrath of Kahn is 23rd Century) but then I remembered Buck Rogers comes out this week as well. So you get to keep your geek points this week.

Wrath of Kahn has be intrigued. I do love me some over-the-top Shatner (which is 99% of Shatner's work) but I think I'll wait for the trade on this one.

And did I see a Deadpool second printing on the list? Wow. I was seriously questioning Marvel's decision to start a second ongoing starring the merc with a mouth but if he's selling out his only solo right now then folks must love him. I know I do.

Not sure I want to jump in bed with another Winnick book right now but the new Batman has my attention. I'll give it a go I think. Red Robin has me more interested than Batman though. Especially how Tim was left at the end of Battle for the Cowl. Definitely looking forward to his story.

Green Lantern Corps I don't think is getting the attention it deserves. It is really living up to the title with all the different stories of the individual GLs. Sure it's all leading up to Blackest Night but unlike some of DC's other lead-ups-to-events-books this one is actually enjoyable.

And I'm really curious how the Flash/Superman race will be handled. I imagine it will be a running conversation between Barry and Clark discussing death, life and the like. But Ethan Van Sciver, my favoritest artist of them all so it's a no-brainer for me to pick up this week.
