"They tout the new Guitar Hero game for the DS, which I won’t let my son play, despite his manic love for all things Guitar Heroish. Why? Because the strap-on controller is horrible for your fingers and induces pain within five minutes of playing! I have no interest in having develop early on-set carpal tunnel syndrome. That sort of critique is completely missing here, which makes me seriously wonder if anyone at FunFare even actually played these games. My money’s on “no".

Pain does not equal carpal tunnel and unless your son's hand is the same size as yours, and has experienced the same number of years of wear and tear, it would probably be a lot easier on him. I think your "saving" your child from a problem that doesn't exist.

Capt USA, regardless of your true identity, it's hardly a surprise to learn that Fun Fare is crap... It's not like Wizard has done anything else of value in a long, long time. It does sound like a poorly designed, carlessly thought magazine that misses the mark in a number of places.

Then again, does anyone really need a magazine like this? Like Wizard (the magazine) itself, Fun Fare seems like an irrelevant offering in the age of the internets. What?? There are Batman: The Brave and the Bold toys?? NO!! Get out! Really?

This will be lucky to make it to issue #2. Just another nail in the Wizard coffin.

Perhaps if Shamus would stop so blatantly kissing the rear of Marvel Comics, I might be more interested in his magazine. Currently, Wizard is nothing more than an ad for Marvel, and barely resembles a magazine on the comics industry in general. Once my subscription is up, I will never buy the magazine again. I've had it.

"I’m guessing the writer of this article went “Oh how can I find a way to bag on Wizard magazine”"

Really Gareb, bagging on a Wizard publication is not a question of "how", but "when does the issue come out?" and Flogging under anonymous names does not boost sales.

I'm guessing the writer of this article went "Oh how can I find a way to bag on Wizard magazine"

seriously was the writer/reviewer here one of the people fired? This amount of venom is usually reserved for politics or religion. I had to stop at the point where he bagged on Ray Park and acted like he didn't know who he was? go to any kid and say "Darth Maul" or if they like X-men "Toad". So this guy has played a few roles that kids would know, I have know idea who the girl was he mentioned, but seriously this reviewer needs to take a major chill pill.

Looks like a magazine you'd find in a peditrician's waiting room in the 80s, right next to the copy of Highlights.
