My lord, is everyone trying to match old Victorian prose to some form of mythological monster now. They just don't get it, you can't capture lightning in a bottle, and that idiom exists for a reason, it's true.

Will the public soon have Zombie Fatigue?

When will we see Oliver Twist-ed his neck and is now the Living Dead "Please sir, I want some more...brains!" Ugh
Or; Crime and Punishment and Big Fucking Stakes; a look at vampire hunting throughout Russian history...wretch
Or; The Moon and Silver Sixpence - an artist's journey to Tahiti to be cured of his werewolfism...hack
Finally; Breakfast Is Tiffany! A macabre image of Gucci hipsters turning into cannibals purely because it is the trendy thing to do this week.

P&P&Z was good, i read it and really liked it, but I don't know if I could sustain an entire library of that sort of thing. Saying that, if I see S&S&S-M cheap I'll get it, but not full price like Grahame-Smith's 'masterpiece'.

I passed on Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, so I haven't burned out on the literature-monster mashup concept yet. Adding a giant mutant lobster to Sense and Sensibility sounds just about perfect to me.

"the bony finger points to 9/11 which, Dziemianowicz writes, transformed the zombie into “a monster for our time.”

Huh? Did I miss something in that sentence? People make 9/11 a scapegoat for anything if they need an excuse for it. Maybe the article would be better with an added explaination as to why 9/11 is mentioned in the same sentence as zombies.

Next time I lose my keys, I should "point the finger" to 9/11.

It's sad how bandwagonny the publishing world is (not that the comics world is any better). This... this is just sad. Not even upsetting, just shake-your-head sad.

"Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters" is weak. I think the joke ran its course with the first title.
