Shawn's b/w style is unique. His art book "Noir Comics" reveals that's he's more than just an artist but an excellent visual storyteller. I highly recommend his work to all who love b/w comic entertainment. Godspeed!

Sounds and looks very interesting. BTW - I think Tombstone in the original MU is already an African American. Just happens to be an albino, with a Morbius-style nose and vampire-sharp teeth :)

Shawn has a very unique way of expression on canvass, in my opion, unlike anything we've ever seen. Although I am not a fan of comics, my daughter is and she has made comments about his work and is more excited about his comics than any other illustrator or artist. I'm sure we'll see more great things to come from Shawn.

Shawn Martinbrough's artwork truly transcends the comic pages to the reader's imagination. One can feel the bricks and mortar of his cities. You can smell the secondhand smoke slowly rolling out of some gumshoe's cigarette. The world this gentleman artist creates is real and has weight. Bravo, Mr. Martinbrough, on the excellent Luke Cage Noir! Your art on Issue #1 did not disappoint!

A personal fanboy wish of mine is to see Martinbrough's artwork in the pages of Hellboy, BPRD or any other Mike Mignola property.
