Bloomingdale’s is teaming up with DC Comics to offer high-end clothing and accessories in its stores nationwide this holiday season. Bloomingdale’s will launch the line with a series of customer events on Oct. 14, including the one in San Francisco with James Robinson I mentioned last week.

Items they plan to carry include T-shirts, socks, scarves, tote bags, wallets, ties, cuff links and pocket squares. Per the press release, the DC Comics collection will range in price from $30 for a pair of Psycho Bunny socks to $225 for a JACK SPADE tote. The above Batman shirt retails for $62. That’s more than I’d probably pay for a T-shirt, but I’m guessing I’m not the target audience here.

You can find more shirts here. And I’ve posted pics of some of the other items after the jump …

That dude is doing his Goddamndest to try and look dashing wearing that Batman scarf and God bless him but he just…can’t…DO IT!

I was getting married when the WB stores were closing down and they had the S-shield cufflinks (all of them tarnished) for $5 a pair. I only grabbed one set, but I should have grabbed the lot, as a little polish took the tarnish right off and it would have made a great reception gift.

Nice ‘Tec shirt… But $62??? Who in their right mind would pay that much for a f*cking T-shirt?? That better come with a gourmet meal, followed by a handjob from a cute checkout lady at the register.

Yeah that was crude… But $62?? That’s far more offensive.

Anyhow, funny about those WB shops… With the last couple of Batman movies (not to mention Smallville and the various DC animated projects in recent years), Green Lantern on the way, and the Harry Potter franchise, I bet they wish they still had those stores open now. The stuff wouldn’t be priced like Bloomingdale’s at least.

$225 for that scarf?? $80 for that wallet?? I don’t know what cufflinks normally sell for, but that seems really high too… Honestly, who would buy that stuff? Even when they don’t sell and the overstock goes down to half-price that’ll be too expensive.

Target audience: hipsters who’ve watched the movies, but have never read a comic book.

Ross Richie and Mark Waid must really enjoy that third cuff link on the right.
