Thank Christ they're actually bringing out a final Planetary hardcover. I've got the first three, and I had this terrible sinking feeling that the longer it took to get to the end they'd go right from the 3rd hardcover, skip the 4th, and go right to the omnibus or something.

Marvel takes the sales EVERY month and every year. They are always near 45-50% of the market.

Someone on one of the boards mentioned how this month will be especially interesting to watch in terms of sales. Marvel and DC are releasing roughly the same number of books. Though, Marvel's releasing Seige #1, which should be pretty huge, and has a lot more $4+ titles than DC for that month. Even then, I figure Marvel will still take the sales with no issue of BN and Seige hitting stands.

Amazon has the first volume of a "Wonder Woman Chronicles" listed as coming out next spring, so it looks like you'll be able to enjoy WW in both the Chronicle and Archive format, as well as the Showcase editions...

I know a lot of Starman fans are upset that Jack Knight isn't the focus of #81, but his story ended so perfectly that I want him to be happy and content. I'm looking forward to see what the rest of Opal has been up to in the last eight years.

Re: "King Tut" story....

Really? Am I the only one who thought this was exceptionally "meh?" I don't regularly read any of the Batman comics, but read about this online and decided it might be worth a look... maybe I just have no concept of how much more "meh" Batman typically is?

I dunno. If anyone else wants to try it I've got all three issues; yours for postage. :-)

The "King Tut" story from Batman Confidential was quite good, better than most of the story arcs in that title (which makes me miss the glory days of Legends of the Dark Knight) have been. Well worth seeking out in trade if you missed it the first time around.

Since I have those issues already, just GL #50 and GLC #44 for me in January. The only two DC books I buy anymore, unless any cool Bruce Wayne/Batman stories ever come out (and of course, that's pretty rare right now).

Oh, wait... I've been picking up The Mighty too. Sure started off slow, but it's turned out to be a pretty good read. A solid DC book not set in Didio's DCU, which makes it that much more enjoyable.
