Fall of the Hulks Alpha preview
- Posted on November 4, 2009 - 11:45 AM by JK Parkin
Marvel sent over some pages from their upcoming Fall of the Hulks storyline, which kicks off with an "Alpha" issue in December. You can see additional pages from it here (where you can also see the ad/homage to the original Fall of the Mutants ad that ran in various Marvel comics back in the 1980s).
The book is written by Jeff Parker with pencils by Paul Pelletier. The story revolves around the Leader, Mad Thinker, Egghead, M.O.D.O.K., Red Ghost and Doctor Doom putting their heads together to create some sort of battle plan that leads into the World War Hulks event. More details on that can be found here.

Doctor Doom may be the hardest-working man in comics right now. Admittedly, Osborn and Wolverine are probably making even more appearances, but just the sheer breadth of all the projects Doom has recently been in and has lined up is astonishing:
Dark Reign/The Cabal/Seige
Side deal with Loki in the pages of Thor
Side deal with Dracula in the pages of Captain Britain
Side deal with Red Skull in Captain America: Reborn
Semiannual dustup with the Fantastic Four
Mischief making in X-Factor
Beating up the new Sorceror Supreme in Doctor Voodoo
Doomwar in the pages of Black Panther
Secondary super-villain league in Hulk/Fall of the Hulks
Sweet Christmas! I have to say, though, I think he's getting stretched awfully thin here. I mean, at least most of The Cabal's membership is respectable. But The Mad Thinker? MODOK? The Wizard?? The Red Ghost???
Is he just intentionally slumming, now?
