not to be a negative nelly, but wasn’t the first FF Galactus story special because it was so rare for terrestrial life to fight back against Galactus and actually win? i mean, don’t you think the Devourer would remember Earth if it had stopped him before?

Just pointing out that that is actually an error in the piece, according to Hickman himself, it’s not a mini-series, it’s an ongoing, but with a finite story, so he has it structured with a beginning/middle/end.

This sounds interesting. I’ve Enjoyed the Bendis Hickman Secret Warriors so maybe I’ll give this a shot. And you know most of the time if you just buy the mini-series you give the comic more of a chance at becoming an On-Going just saying, it dose not always pay to “Trade wait”.

Sounds like Marvels meets League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. My interest is piqued.

(Speaking of Marvels, wasn’t Eye of the Camera pushed back to November? …What? It’s JANUARY now? Well hell, I guess we already waited this long just to see the thing. And I’m a firm believer in waiting until a book is done rather than rushing it. Hell, now I have a complete run of Planetary.)

AND we get to see the early reviews before we waste money!

I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve read of Hickman’s stuff, but until the last issue of Red Mass for Mars is released, I’m done buying his stuff. I know that the Marvel work must be more lucrative, and he’s just trying to make a living, but for a four issue miniseries to be this late is really frustrating.

@David Tobin. All of his Imagine minis have been late, but I think there’s at least some reason to think otherwise. I don’t know what the editor process is at image, but I can see it being a lot less demanding than at Marvel, where artists and writers need to keep producing so they don’t hold up the line. Any delays Hickman has had at Marvel have just pushed things to the end of a month because the artist needs time.

Modestly intrigued, and I’ll be looking forward to learning more about the concept. I enjoy Hickman’s take on the Nick Fury mythos in Secret Warriors, and have been mostly ambivalent to his FF work. And to be honest, I vastly prefer any of his Image work to anything that he’s done at Marvel yet.

Trade wait here I’m afraid. Hickman’s late on all his minis at Image and there’s no reason to think otherwise with this. Looking forward to it though.

Meh I dunno bout this. Weaver is a good artist and a great choice for a book with a cosmic feel to it but I feel that this is going againest Hickman’s strengths. I’ve not really enjoyed his Fantastic Four book so far even tho i’m a fan of most of his work and this sounds like it will be similar in feel. Could be worth checking out but if it’s 3.99 i’ll wait for reviews before I even think bout picking it up.

I think this will be a tale of the “secret history” of S.H.I.E.L.D. and how it slowly came together over many many years, and it will probably spin out of Secret Warriors. … or, I could be wrong.
