That is proof that even 2 great writers can have an off story,,,,And I am a major Legionnaires fan saying that.... ..and yes The Spectre totally kicked booty in DC 2000...I can just imagine what people from the 1940's would say about the world today....well today 9 years ago that is... I was, and they didn’t.

I wanted to do a family-adventure SF series called THE CHAMPIONS OF TERRA, but that crossover didn’t go over well enough to interest anyone at DC, and since then I’ve come up with better places to use the ideas I had for their adventures. One of them — The Gordian Knot — got used in the ASTRA two-parter in ASTRO CITY.

But my favorite was the near-convoluted Crisis On Earth Prime in 1982, also including the All-Star Squadron. I didn't know a lot about the Cuban Missile Crisis at that time, nor did I realize the history of Per Degaton and the Golden Age heroes, but I found it very entertaining. Good Stuff.
