We think the Avengers stuff has been wonderful. Dark Avengers is one of our best selling titles and it's great. Hopefully everything will be straightened out in time for the movie, unlike Batman, which is completely messed-up. We really like Bendis.

I'm just happy that there's an actual Avengers team with a regular book. Everything from Disassembeled onwards (bar the fantastic Young Avengers) hasn't been the Avengers to me. This whole "Avengers: Earth's Most Popular Heroes" thing that Bendis has going on really bugs me.

Slott's Might run has been a huge heap of fun from the start, seriously I can't remember the last time I was as genuinely as I was by the Scarlet Witch reveal. This build-up of Pym as he leads what is arguably an even more motley crew of Avengers than any single iteration of Bendis's New Avengers is really interesting; here is a character who creatively, editorially and in the perception of the fans a seemingly failure. Not only does nearly every writer whose touched him in the last few years insist on focusing on his one single and most infamous act (but still singular) and not letting him move beyond that, but his few impressive actions during the last few years were the doing of a Skrull! But mix an unpredictable character journey for one of the most controversial Marvel characters along with a classic feeling and yet at the same time ragtag crew of honest to goodness Avengers, and you've got a run that I hope lasts as long as New Avengers.

And aw man, you're pretty lucky that your LCS is selling those rings for as cheap as they are! My OCD'ness forced me to buy half of the ring tie-in comics which I wasn't planning on getting, just to complete a collection of plastic gimmicks.
