The drawing is rather rudimentary, and the script has some spelling errors and odd usage—the story is set in Europe and I think this is translated from another language. Usually these two things send me running from a webcomic,

I initially read this as you being averse to webcomics set in Europe and/or translated from another language. I was gonna be all “hey Brigid, what’s with the totally arbitrary hate for Europe and foreign languages” in the comments section, but then I re-read the quote. Oh well.

I’ve been reading Larry Gonick’s masterful history of mankind. Having read all three volumes of the Cartoon History of the Universe, then Cartoon History of the Modern World, Volume 1, I’m just now starting on the final volume — Cartoon History of the Modern World, Volume 2.

It’s a superb story about all the scumbags of history that shaped our world through their greed, violence, and persecution of others. Really makes me ashamed of the human race.

But what a great read, by a great cartoonist who did his research.

I’m gonna recommend that you go out and purchase the beautiful hardcovers and read em both, then reread the next issue.
