I always seem to get interested in something way after the fact.

Last year I got into Adam Strange and Green Lantern. I was really excited about DC's space characters coming back and I followed them through Infinity Crisis... However, once I got past that and was faced with 52 (Should I get it, should I not get it..?)... I finally decided to go ahead and get it because it featured (in small parts, nevertheless) Adam Strange and his group. And then there were the Secret Origins features (which at the time were not reprinted). That slowed me down on catching up with the real world... And once I discovered that Blackest Night was going to be a major DC crossover and not limited to just the Lantern books I felt a little overwhelmed and dropped the whole thing. I think the last issue of Green Lantern I got was #12...

This was spurred by the fact that I've had my eye on Marvel's cosmic escapades under the pen of Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning, two guys who were probably the best thing to hit the Legion of Super-Heroes since Keith Giffen. So, immediately after leaving the Green Lantern books I picked up Drax., which for some reason was a little hard to swallow... But once I got past it into the Annihilation prequels I was thoroughly enjoying it.

So, right now, I'm reading Annihilation. I just finished #1 and I'm still perusing the (hard to find) Nova Corps Files. I'm trying to pace myself so that I'm steadily catching up but I'm still taking some time to actually enjoy the stories. I read anywhere from one to three issues a week from that group of comics to achieve that.

Otherwise, I've been checking out Conan and Red Sonja... But they're really just fillers right now as I'm waiting patiently for the Batman/Doc Savage special and First Wave. I may even throw in Matt Wagner's Green Hornet just to round things out.
