Send Us Your Shelf Porn!

Today on Send Us Your Shelf Porn we’ll be looking at the collection of Mr. Abel Yu, who sent us a rather nice and detailed rundown of his bookshelves.

Remember, we’re always on the lookout for good shelf porn. And this holiday season, we’re looking for holiday-themed shelf porn as well. If you think you’ve got some, take a pic and send it to us at cmautnerATcomcastDOTnet and we’ll post it here for everyone to enjoy.

And now, take it away Abel!

Above: These are the two main shelves that house my collections of books, comics and graphic novels. They also share space with my action figure collection. The one on the right is shelf 1 and the left shelf is 2.

On the top of shelf 1 are my manga stored in stackable plastic boxes. It also has some of my unopened toys. The Flash figurine is a birthday cake topper I have as a memento from my godson’s christening. It is one of the few non-comic DC items I have as I’m basically a Marvel zombie.

Also from shelf 1. These are most of my DC graphic novels, with a few refugees from my Marvel section I’ll show later. The boxes are unopened Transformers just temporary occupants once I’ll need more space for my DC books. From the titles on hand, one can see I’m into Batman, especially the Frank Miller stories, JSA and Green Lantern from Geoff Johns and the Jeph Loeb Superman/Batman run.

Also from shelf 1: This my Marvel section, which has my trades and hard covers. The trades are a smattering of releases from the 90’s, especially X-Men stories. The hard covers are from the runs that I enjoyed, like the Ultimates, BKV’s Runaways and Kirkman’s Marvel Zombies. The only run that is current is the New Avengers premiere hard covers. The small leather folder is a gift from my banker mom. It contains an oversized limited circulation paper note that is legal tender in my country.

Still from shelf 1: My Marvel legends. This group contains Avengers and villains.

Below my marvel legends are the rest of my trades and hardcovers that I couldn’t classify by publisher. In the foreground are some Naruto figurines.

Shelf 2: My Optimus Prime collection. As my favorite character, he gets his own space.

Shelf 2: More manga, with 2 of my Transformers guarding the stash.

Shelf 2: More 6 inch scale goodness. These are all my favorite action figures

4132411583_2708d17332_b

Shelf 2: More Transformers.

Still from shelf 2: My Wheel of Time library with more Transformers. The black jet on the left is a Masterpiece Skywarp.

Still from shelf 2: This was supposed to my Tolkien section, but I couldn’t find any more books to fill it so its sharing its space with more of my toys.

Still from shelf 2: More books, heavy in sci-fi and fantasy flavor. Also sharing space with more of my toys.

Finally from shelf 2: This section has more books and my oversized graphic novels. It has an Absolute and a few omnibus.
