Send Us Your Shelf Porn!

Here at Shelf Porn Central, we’re not size conscious. We know it’s not the number of shelves you have, but what’s on them that counts.
That’s why today we’re featuring not one but two collections. They are perhaps a wee bit smaller than some of the more ostentatious offerings we’ve had in the past, but they’re filled out in all the right places.
The first collection of photos comes from Doug Goodwin in Cartersville, Georgia. The second is from Jesse Young, founder and co-president of Saint James Comics. Click on the link to see their pics.

Jesse Young: The only thing I can think of to say about my collection is that it’s very Creator Owned. I only have a couple of Marvel/DC books. Everything else is mostly Vertigo, Image, Dark Horse, Oni, etc. I’m just really into the creator owned/indy books. I like being able to start the story at the beginning. I didn’t grow up reading comics as a kid so the Marvel and DC books are a bit intimidating for me, because there is all this back story I don’t know and it makes the stories a little harder to get into.
Oh and by the way, I only started reading comics 2 years ago, so this is my collection in such a short time.

Those are some solid collections. I’m a fan of a lot of those creator owned books in the bottom collection, and I also love the over-sized Marvel Hardcovers in the top pics.

That’s very impressive, especially for a two-year collector.

Nice collections from both. Now if we can get the two lads into communication because I think they have heaps of books they could lend each other, ha.
I wish I had the money to get all of those creator owned books in two years, that would be awesome, not to mention the time to read them all.
