Truth Serum creator Jon Adams sent word about two piece sof news he has … first, he has a new weekly comic called Friendship Town that’s been picked up by the San Francisco Chronicle’s “96 Hours” weekend supplement. It will also appear on the newspaper’s website.
And second, tomorrow Adams is planning a special April Fool’s Day wedding strip for Truth Serum. Read the entire announcement and see Jon’s promo piece for the big wedding after the jump …
This April 1st we have two incredibly big announcements, each one bigger than the other!
If you suspect you might enjoy a new weekly comic, test that theory with Friendship Town, the new weekly comic from Eisner-nominated artist Jon Adams. Friendship Town will appear in full color each and every Thursday in the San Francisco Chronicle’s weekend entertainment supplement, 96 Hours.
How do you get a copy of the San Francisco Chronicle? You buy it. Or you steal it. Or also, if libraries still exist, one of those might have a copy you can read. If acquiring a physical copy will be too difficult, Friendship Town will also be appearing on the Chronicle’s website.
April 1st also marks the two-year anniversary of the Truth Serum webcomic. To celebrate, Truth Serum’s Don Sequitur and Beatrice will be getting married. To each other. In an event as meaningful as the death of Superman, watch these two celebrate their undying love in a four-part story with extra big comics. Witness their adventure from engagement to wedding night. (Wink, wink.)
