Send us your Shelf Porn!

Shelf-Porn-c

It’s Shelf Porn time, where we take an intimate look into somebody’s home to see what their books, statues, action figures or even their drawing desk looks like … which is the case with this week’s submission. David Paccia, who works for a financial institution as a Web QA tester, is also an artist and sent in some pictures of his workspace.

We can always use more Shelf Porn, so if you’d like to see your shelves featured here, drop me an email with your write-up and pictures.

And now here’s David …

These are pictures of my cartooning “work area”, though not much work is actually done there. I think have too many distractions that keep me from drawing. And yes, I know I need a new bookshelf, as the sagging shelves can attest to.

How could anyone possibly doubt why I call you The Geek??? xox

David, You have the coolest stuff!!! I want to steal the Fred & Dino figure as well as the Hembeck book! Looks like a fun & inspirational place to create cartoons. I LOVE the way the shelves are warping!!!

I have the exact same kind of shelves and they bend down like that for me, too. Very annoying.

And I also put smaller toys and other nicknacks in front of my books.

Clearly we’re soul mates.

I’ve worked with David for many years and have amassed a collection of hysterical comics, all written on-the-fly, on Post It notes! When something/anything happens here at work, you can expect a tailor-made comic strip to be drawn up in minutes – all of which make me laugh so hard I’m surprised they haven’t fired me yet. And, I’m very careful not to be drinking anything whilst reading them, because I laugh so hard it would surely come out my nose! I’m saving all of these original pieces so that when he becomes famous, I will have a bunch of his original works! Thanks Dave! :)

Look up Comic’s in Websters then look up love next to it you will find David Paccia. I have known Dave and Patti many years I am as close to them as family can get like Dave and his passion for comics. Dave will break out like many famous artist its a time and place thing as in life itself and all of us God will have his way a place in our time………….good luck Dave………OH!!!!!!! …..good My papers on the doorstep with my favorite comic Dave Paccia’s World
