Is the world ready for Foreskin Man?
“Intactivist” Miles Hastwick spends his days curating the Museum of Genital Integrity. But when a baby is in danger of having his foreskin removed by the evil Dr. Mutilator, Hastwick rips off his goatee and becomes Foreskin Man.
Written and created by Matthew Hess, president of an anti-circumcision organization, the comic “uses popular art to shine a spotlight on the practice of infant circumcision,” Hess told SalemNews.com. “Over the years there have been a lot of rationalizations and justifications to keep it going, but the bottom line is that forced circumcision violates human rights. I hope this story will help convince some people of that in a way that words alone cannot.”
The comic is about what you would expect in terms of plot; there’s a somewhat disturbing panel on the first page featuring a museum exhibit of a circumcision, but no real babies are harmed, by genital mutilation or otherwise. Probably the most graphic aspect of the comic is the fact that Foreskin Man walks around with a penis emblem on his chest. Uncircumcised, of course.
The 12-page comic can be downloaded or read online at Foreskinman.com.

I kinda feel bad for the artist that now has to put this in his resume if he wants to apply for work in other comic companies.

I think the world is ready. The question is, is the United States ready? About 80% of men in the world are intact, that is, they have not been circumcised. These men enjoy having a complete sex organ. But, in the US, most men are circumcised, although among newborns, almost one-half are spared the knife and are being left intact.

I can’t believe there is people devoting their time to pass a bill to protect foreskin… I’ve lost the little hope I had on mankind.

If this is your cause in life, you need a new cause.
How about world hunger?
Hmm…
Saving dicks is not high on my list of to-do.

So forced female circumcision is good too?
What’s wrong with wanting to allow a human to choose how they want their bodies to be?

@HunterKillerMX, Morag: Of course it’s not up there with world hunger, but with more than 40 South African boys dying from tribal circumcision in the last couple of months, and a boy being circumcised every 26 seconds in the US (so that less than 1% botched would rack up several botches every day), we need Captain Foreskin.
@Benjamin: (Before I invoke Godwin’s Law) 97% of US circumcision is not Jewish, and about 3/4 of it in the world is Muslim.
@Mutilator: you want ugly? Go to http://www.circumstitions.com/Botched.html

I’m know I’m late to this, but here I go:
@Hugh7, you present a lot of good statements, but are they facts: Show me your references. It seems sad that 40+ newborn boys are dying in South Africa, but is it alone based on the removal of foreskin itself? Are these places where the surgeries are taking place sterilized? The instruments properly cleaned? If did can’t prove the this area practice medical procedures are up to date, you can’t prove these death are the sole production of circumcision. In that case you probably have bigger fish to fry.
really, according to your statistics (which I doubt), there should be immediate law against circumcision, but it required certified awareness for the parents allowing the circumcision being done. female circumcision Could be prepared, but let’s face it, female circumcision is more serious because it is: Severe damage and or during or after female circumcision is usual.
(And if more deaths are happening to

But it’s ok to MURDER that same human body without permission, while in the womb. Pfff.
