Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions box art reveals … something?

Via Joystiq comes word that Gamefly has posted the box artwork for the upcoming video game Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions. The game features Spider-Men from four different dimensions — the regular Marvel U., the noir one, 2099 and a fourth one that’s supposed to be revealed in San Diego next week. It looks like whatever universe that will be will feature Spider-Man in his black costume. So what do you think it will be … the Ultimate universe, maybe?

He does look a little smaller than the others…maybe it is the Ultimate U after all.

I think Spider-girl and it’s just a coloring job they haven’t finished yet.

obvious photoshop is obvious.

it’s a Wolverine that can shoot webs and stick to claws

Really? Gosh, and here I was thinking they’d actually photographed four Spider-Men in their studios.

Isn’t it kind of werid that they didn’t put the main Spidey up front?

He’s not upfront but he’s kinda central isn’t he ?

Probably off the mark, but wouldn’t it be sweet if it was Spidey right when he first got his black costume on Beyonder’s world and had to fight alongside all the heroes and take on all the villians that were in that mini? That would be all kinds o’ badass.

@FJ I guess he is in the center, but I think Spidey 2099 has more space, doesn’t he?

I think the cover would look more presentable with the Spidey we know and love most. (Main Spidey) I certainly hope they get it right this time, but I’m hesitant. I’ll miss free roam, and would have loved to have seen the main Spider-Man in the city. Although its a brand new take, so I’m up for anything. Let’s go Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions!

Well clearly Grodd is saying that the black-outfitted Spider-Man on the right was obviously added into the image later. You can practically count the pixels in it, and it’s in a different style than the others. It’s like comparing three HD images to something off an old VHS tape.

I’m not saying this is definitely a counterfeit or anything, but I’d be very surprised if the last costume featured on the box art looks anything like what we’re seeing here.

Is it just me, or does the black costume look kind of like the one he wore in the third movie?

I think I know why Amazing Spidey isn’t in front. excluding the very photoshopped looking one in back,
The spideys are arranged chronologically. SM 2099 (Future) -> Amazing SM (Present) -> SM Noir (Past/1930′s).

But seriously, the Symbiote Spider-man in the back looks like it was digitally painted in based off the original silhouette they had. It doesn’t have the crisp, tight feel of the other 3.
