Nominations for the Ignatz Awards, which go to outstanding independent comics, were released today at the Small Press Expo site; the awards will be presented at SPX on Sept. 11. Here’s the list:

I haven’t heard of most of these. I decided to check out Troop 142 based on all the nominations, and wow, is it ever great. Congrats to Mike Dawson and every one else who was nominated. I hope to be reading some of the others soon.
