‘Mechanical difficulties’ cause delays at Diamond’s LA warehouse

Diamond Comic Distributors has notified retailers served by its Los Angeles warehouse that, “due to mechanical difficulties experienced in transit,” 31 items scheduled for release on Wednesday will be delayed until next week.

Actually, Bully, similar things certainly happened when there were multiple distributors.

Further, I’d rather that NO stores in a region get a product, then some getting it, and others aren’t — at least that way the playing field is “level”


Brian, that seems like the only fair move — but does Diamond float shops credit for that week they don’t have half their comics to sell? Would that work out economically? And for those books being shipped via UPS, how would you enforce stores NOT selling product that’s already en route?
