Quote of the day | C.B. Cebulski hates handles
“Reminder to writers/artists, if you’re contacting editors about work in a professional capacity, please use your real name. When I get e-mails from people using nicknames [like] ‘Dark Spidey’ or ‘Elflord’ asking about submitting, it’s hard to take you seriously. Be smarter.”
– Marvel’s Senior Vice President, Creator & Content Development C.B. Cebulski, with another pearl of wisdom from his magic box of “how not to break into comics” tidbits. Protip: This applies to comment-thread posters, too. Just sayin’!

Dur. Real dumb thing to do. Get more than one email account, dummies. I have 4 gmail accounts. One for ‘spam’ filtering, using on sites who demand email and I don’t want to attach my other email address to, one for personal/professional dealings, a third for shopping/netflix, and this fourth one for comments and such.
Compartmentalize.

I have one e-mail account, sign my real name and e-mail address and NEVER get spam or any other kind of unwanted attachment.

Sadly, this does not surprise me that people do that.
