WonderCon | Marvel recruiting new SHIELD agents in San Francisco
Attendees at this weekend’s WonderCon may find themselves being recruited for a new line of work — SHIELD agent.
Folks staying at one area hotel report a flyer being left on their door that says the occupant has a “unique skill set” that makes them an ideal candidate for “interplanetary threats.” It also directs them to tune into a channel on their TV. My apologies for the graininess of the images; sometimes in the spy game, you take what you can get:
which then plays a brief video that, in turn, directs them to the website joinshield.com:
which asks for an email address so you can be notified when entrance exams begin:
With today being April Fool’s Day, hopefully this isn’t a Hydra prank …
Updated with a couple of additional images:

I refuse to submit an application until:
1. They go back to the old name. This one is too hard to remember.
2. Nick Fury is back in charge.
3. Agent Coulson gets his own film.

They had that same booth at Megacon. They take your picture wearing sunglasses and make you a S.H.I.E.L.D ID card that you can wear around the convention with your name and pic on it.

Hope Marvel sees the potential of S.H.I.E.L.D. as a franchise on its’ own.
It can be so much more than the connective tissue between the movies under
the Avengers tentpole.
Nonetheless, nice marketing.

I gotta admit, that is a nice bit of marketing on their part.

Hydra prank? That would have been awesome! Too bad Marvel didn’t think of something cool like that, change the website to something Hydra or A.I.M. based for the day.
