Adam West-era Batgirl costume worn by Yvonne Craig up for auction

Own a piece of comic history as the memorable costume worn by actress Yvonne Craig in the 1960s Batman television series is being put up for auction. With bids starting at $2,000, it’s a  perfect gift for any serious Batman collector or cosplayer with money to spare. The suit includes the unitard, utility belt, gloves, boots and cape.

The costume has a unique story; it was only worn once on television in Batgirl’s first appearance. Craig complained about how the points in the mask cut into her cheeks, so the studio ordered another with rounded cheeks for later episodes.

Created by the prolific Hollywood costume factory Western Costume, this auction includes paperwork and authentication from both them and Yvonne Craig herself.

This may be the one from the pilot, then – I’m not 100% sure the pointy one was used on the show, anyone want to check?

According to his website, none of this costume is authentic.

The ten commandment tablets are also questionable. They were originally pulled from bonhams auctions in 2008 for questionable provenance., then privately purchased by a guy named Jerry Wallace who was sued in beverly hills small claims court for trying to sell a questionable prop from Terminator in 2010. Wallace lost that lawsuit. This same Wallace tried to sell the tablets on ebay a few weeks ago for $39,000. He pulled them from auction doctors on ebay and then gave them to premier props for this same auction. Wallace also supplied a real ghostbusters pack coa with a fake ghostbusters pack that almost got auctioned as original.

All very interesting. Thanks for the heads-up on this Wallace fellow. Decided to so a search before making a purchase. Happy I did!
