Colleen Doran’s JMS Wonder Woman that you didn’t see
When J. Michael Straczynski was still the writer of Wonder Woman, he approached Colleen Doran about developing a new, “fantasy-oriented” look for her. He’s given Doran permission to share what she came up with, which she’s done on her blog.
She clarifies a couple of things in the comments section of her post. First, that she wasn’t hired to draw the actual comic; just to design the look. But more importantly, that this look would’ve been for a story after the one in which Wonder Woman wore Jim Lee’s controversial redesign.

“I’d buy that for a dollar!”
Just give her hair some ooomph and I would have been on board.

I’ve always thought that WW would wear something like that an Amazon event on Themiscyra or likewise to a formal function in Man’s World.

There are some REALLY nice elements there. But it’s little overthought, maybe.

I like it, especially the shinning stars in her hair.

Very nice. Collen’s work is always beautiful.
George Perez designed an treasure trove of beautiful Wonder Woman outfits and even used them in his series. Now THOSE are some beautiful Wonder Woman outfits I would absolutely love to have in action figure/statue form. Phil Jimenez designed some alternate outfits that were nice during his run as well.

Not bad, but I think it’s a little too busy. Say what you will about the current Wonder Woman costume (I like it, personally, but the ’90s Rogue jacket can stay gone), but you have to admit that it’s streamlined.
