"Avengers on Parade," by Hannah Friederichs
Combining joy over The Avengers movie with sadness about the death of children’s book illustrator Maurice Sendak, Hannah Friederichs has created a wonderful tribute to both. You can see the entire image — including what Hawkeye is so concerned about — below.
Seldom do I come across a piece that speaks to me in the manner this does. She has beautifully captured the essence of both.
Love this! My buddy Corey also pointed out this classic Hulk cover: http://www.comics.org/issue/129077/cover/4/
Not to diminish Hannah’s work, as I’m sure it was created independently, given circumstance. Just kind of cool!
Very well done. Your mind must work in beautiful ways.
