Mondo goes back to the Batcave in new limited-edition print

Mondo, Alamo Drafthouse’s collectible art boutique, is no stranger to superheroes, having only recently released limited-edition prints for The Avengers and The Dark Knight Rises (the latter by comic artist Jock). And now the company is turning its attention once again to Batman — and specifically the Batcave — in a new poster by J.C. Richard. It’s not the movie version, either, but rather a take on the classic comic-book location, complete with the animatronic Tyrannosaurus Rex, giant penny, oversized Joker playing card and the Jason Todd glass-case memorial. You can also glimpse four Batmobiles and an enormous chess set — along with a very lonely Caped Crusader.

The 20-inch by 29-inch print, limited to just 500 copies, goes on sale Thursday for $50. As usual, you have to follow the Mondo Twitter feed to learn the precise time.
