Greg Capullo offers peek at Batman Family from Batman #15

Art from "Batman" #15 by Greg Capullo

Greg Capullo has offered a sneak peek at December’s Batman #15, part of the much-publicized “Death of the Family” event, tweeting “Hail hail the gang is all here,” accompanied by a panel featuring Batgirl, Red Hood, Red Robin, Nightwing, Robin and Batman. Although the artist didn’t specify the issue, writer Scott Snyder confirmed it’s No. 15.

“Death of the Family,” which features the return of The Joker, kicks off next week in Batman #13 — ” far and away one of the best issues we’ve done, all around,” Snyder says — and crosses over into Detective Comics, Batgirl, Batman and Robin, Catwoman, Nightwing, Red Hood & The Outlaws and Teen Titans. Comic Book Resources exclusively premiered Capullo’s special die-cut covers for “Death of the Family” earlier this week.

Die-cut covers? Good lord, it’s the ’90s all over again.

A great piece of art but seeing the Nu52 bat family together I can’t help but dwell on the negative, because I’m guessing this is the story editorial told Snyder he couldn’t use Cass in.

So I suppose Batwing isn’t considered apart of the Bat Family?

@xTraex

Negative! Males have to be white with jet black hair. Females, white with red hair. no exceptions! JK (not really)

BatWoman =D

also love the preview by the way =D great drawing

Since when is Jason Todd a member of Bruce’s crew again?

It’s not the real Bat family without Cassandra Cain, Stephanie Brown, and Selina Kyle.

Apparently Batman is a putz in this universe. Because – judging by Robin’s body language – this is the introductory scene, yet Batman is the only one who is unmasked

@Oasis That’s Batgirl, not Batwoman. ;)

I wish Cassandra and Steph were there…..it seems weird only having 1 girl, but 5 guys. At least Selina’s involved in Death of the Family.

I can’t wait for “Death of the Family” to begin. In all honesty, I always liked Cassandra Cain better as Batgirl than Stephanie Brown. At times, Stephanie just annoyed me and I actually liked it better when she died (I felt she should have STAYED dead).

You would think that being the top DC book and creator at the moment – that he would have free reign to use whatever characters he wanted.

I like Batgirl’s stance in that pic. And Nightwing looks like hes grown … from issue #1 I mean! haha… ;)
