That’s quite a nice list with a varied selection of comic books. I like it.

If there can be a book called the Underwater Welder, can Garth Ennis’ Dog Welder be far behind?

Prophet was really good. Couldn’t get into Saga.

I’d swap out Children’s Crusade for the Daredevil by Mark Waid Vol. 1 HC. And probably replace Swamp Thing with something too — I’ve liked that run, but not “Best of 2012″ liked it.

There are good books on that list, but that “The Nao of Brown” isn’t on it is a huge miss. It might be that it’s just not super-well known?

Anything with Big 2 Superhero stuff that doesn’t include Journey Into Mystery is pretty nuts

Pretty solid list. I preferred Animal Man to Swamp Thing for the opening couple of issues, but I guess they didn’t want to double up on Lemire. Also, I agree Waid Daredevil or Journey into Mystery should be there instead of Children’s Crusade.

These all seem to be ground-floor trades or I would have suggested JiM as well. Still shocked at Daredevil’s omission.

I can’t disagree with some of the inclusions, but no doubt there are some surprising exclusions as well. Then again, I’m not sure Amazon is the best authority for a “best of” list for this genre.
