Robot 6
’16 pounds’ worth of the best of Wolverine’
Marvel has released a trailer for its mammoth Wolverine: The Adamantium Collection that’s amusing for its hyperbole and liberal use of “literally” as well as Lorraine Cink’s best “blue steel” poses. Although it falls short of the manic energy of a Billy Mays or Vince Offer infomercial, there are still some pretty good lines.
Of course, the 772-page $200 hardcover doesn’t really need a trailer — any die-hard Wolverine fan with the cash, arm strength and shelf space is already squirreling away the money for its June 5 release.
The tome collects Wolverine: Origin by Paul Jenkins and Adam Kubert, Wolverine: Weapon X by Barry Windsor Smith, Wolverine by Chris Claremont and Frank Miller, Wolverine: Not Dead Yet by Warren Ellis and Leinil Yu, Wolverine & The X-Men by Jason Aaron and Chris Bachalo, and single-issue stories by the likes of Dave Cockrum, Larry Hama, Jim Lee, Mark Millar and Kaare Andrews. Plus, there’s the cover by Billy Tan and the slipcase by Gabriele Dell’Otto.

While I loathe “Origin” it’s a better fit then that Warren Ellis story and those Jason Aaron issues.
It should read:
Origin
Weapon X
Wolverine
Wolverine: The Jungle Adventure(Mike Mignola art)
Old Man Logan
and a random assortment.
