Hi. I’m Tom, very much a comic book fan.
I’ve been collecting comic books and related paraphernalia since 1971 or so, and I’ve amassed a pretty big collection that I’ve only recently begun to whittle down. It’s slowly getting smaller, but I’ve still got a good way to go. I’m no longer buying single issues, but I do pick up the occasional hardcover or trade paperback. I became a big fan of the Eaglemoss Marvel and DC figurines, and they are visible in the first photograph below. The comic book cover wall decals are some of my favorite decorations because they’re iconic images and they don’t damage the walls. This room is also my home office, but it’s a great place to display my collection. The bulk of the comics are actually in the closet, which is visible in the last three photographs. I’ve picked up some action figures along the way, as well as a few statues, but for the most part, I’ve stopped buying and I’m just enjoying what I have–even as I unload part of it.

I’m envious of all the Spirit books. Looks nice.

I’m eyeballing the Starman Omnibus collection. I’m getting rid of a lot of my floppies right now and stocking up on some of those sweet hardbacks.

A nice, clean collection. I really wanted a closer look at your Small DC and Marvel figurines but the pictures are too small
Thanks for sharing

Love that Daredevil statue! Where did you get that? I also like your cover decals on the wall. I use the wooden cover recreations in my house. The decals sound nice since they won’t leave holes.

To answer a few of the questions above:
youngbloodsc: My sister-in-law sent me the Daredevil statue from France; she ordered it from a store called L’Imagier. She also sent me the Batman figure next to the TV, but I could’ve gotten that here.
Chris: Love those Spirit Archives books! I need to get the Dark Horse companion book that collects the New Adventures series.
Murch: Glad you think it’s organized! The trades and hardcovers in the closet recently got alphabetized, so I can find things more easily.
Paul: I’m working on getting rid of much of my traditional comic book collection and going to trades and hardcovers. Now that I’ve actually organized the trades and hardcovers, I will start pulling more issues that appear in those books.
Cjorg2: Sorry the figurines came out so small. They were tough to photograph, but they are the Eaglemoss figurines.
demoncat4 and youngbloodsc: The decals are pretty nice. I like having things up that don’t damage the walls.

Also want to say glad to see someone else has all the Spirit Archives as well. I see I wasn’t the only one buying them.

Also, you got the Taschen book? Planning on going after it again now that its being broken down into five volumes with new material in each one?

No, I won’t be getting the smaller Taschen books, but I thought about them!

Really nice collection. I too am shedding single issues in favour of trades.

Where did get the decals. I think I want to get some too after seeing your. How did you out it up so as not to damage your wall?

Very nice collection.
I prefer Omnibus, Hardcover or TPB myself but am far away from having a collection like this.
And this Daredevil? Awesome!
Thanks for sharing.

Hi Tom,
What an amazing collection! I saw in one of your responses that you were looking to get rid of some of your traditional single comic books an move more towards trades. Would you be interested in selling?
If so, please let me know.
Thanks and great collection!

A quick question: The covers on the wall are real? They look photoshopped.

@ meow – They are real. Made by Roommates. I got the four above the desk at Walmart, and others came from the Roommates website. I have no talent with Photoshop.
Jonathan – I might be interested.

@ Omar – They are vinyl decals. They peel off the walls with no problems, and they go right back up.
