Thanks Brandon! If you’d like to see your collection featured here on Robot 6, here’s what you need to do:

1. Take some photos and save them as jpgs.
2. Write a little something about your collection
3. Send them to me in an email.

Some additional tips:

1. Although we don’t have a minimum or maximum limit on photos, usually 10-15 should suffice. They also don’t need to be huge, so if you can shrink them down so they are less than 1000 x 1000, that would be great. You can help make your collection look nice by being sure to focus, use the right lighting, dust your shelves beforehand, etc.
2. You can either write something up that’ll appear at the beginning of the post, or you can describe each item. Be sure to indicate where each image should be placed within your write-up, but don’t embed the images into a Word doc. Just put the file name in brackets where you want the image to appear.
3. When sending images using something like YouSendIt or DropBox, please keep in mind that I may not get to your submission for a month or more, so make sure you don’t delete them or that they won’t expire.
4. Please include your name (just your first name is fine) and location with your write-up.

Very cool.

I’m drowning in envy!

very nice !!!!

that is really neat collection espically all the art work you have aquired over the year and your wife really loves you to go all out to get that one print and not reveal what she spent on it after all this time.

Great collection. Where did you get the wood bookshelves? I can relate to the overloading of non-wood shelves…

Thanks everybody for the kind words! Took me a few years of amassing all this, so I’ve been super excited to finally have a space that holds almost all of it.

JenJen- Those are actually from IKEA. It’s called the HEMNES and it’s one of the few bookshelves they have that’s made of solid wood. Comes in the black-brown color there, a lighter gray-brown, and a white.

Thanks again, and Demoncat4, I agree. My wife is pretty awesome…

Best. Wife. Ever.
Oh and your collection’s cool, too :-)

Great collection. I’m curious about that Christopher Priest Black Panther hardback.

Nice use of (I assume) retired “Graphic Novels” signs from your former life as a Barnes & Noble bookseller, Brandon.

And let me second — or third or fourth — the plaudits for your extremely thoughtful wife.

Please tell: Where did the Bats animated series print come from?

Bison4Life- Had them done by a guy named David Banks, who I think used to work for a book bindering company, and has now gone into business for himself. Great guy, very easy to work with, and I think (it was awhile ago)) that I paid roughly 40 bucks for each book, which holds around 25 issues each. Third one is a little shorter, but includes the tail end of the BP run, plus The Crew…

Marc- Wish I had more of the signs, man, but 2 works for now :) The Batman print, titled “Three For Justice” is from the old WB Studio Store, and holds the distinction of being the first thing I ever put on a credit card…

Thanks all for the kind words, especially about my wife!
