This Shelf Porn submission takes the (wedding) cake

Hello and welcome once again to Shelf Porn, where fans share their shelves and we show them off. Today’s shelves come from James Gubicza, who shows us his comics, graphic novels, statues and action figures — lots and lots of action figures.

“I am a huge fan of this blog, and I have been waiting for the last of the Justice League Unlimited figures to arrive to make my submission,” he said. “I am a big DC fan, Starman, Batman, and Flash in particular. On my desk you will see custom action figure cake toppers I made for our wedding. Enjoy!”

A beautiful collection. Love the Batman black & white statues!

Very nice collection! Very nice clean presentation, and I love your book shelf with the movie posters on the wall above. Congrats!

That shelf must be a bitch to dust.

Very nice, neat presentation. I had no idea there were that many Justice League Unlimited figures around! Are any of them customs?
I’ve been eyeing off the Batman Black and White statues for a while, they’re beautiful, but with my OCD-like need to have complete collections I’ve avoided what would end up a large cost. But that Jim Aparo version is outstannding!! Maybe I can just get that one?
I can see you are having the same shelf-bend problem I’m having – you’re gonna need to brace those babies before they crack like mine did!!
Thanks for sharing

Oh, and nice to see I’m not the only one who loves Superman Returns.

The Hal Jordan has a custom head

I call bullsh*t. There’s no way anyone can get those JLU figures to stand up.

Wow lovely collection thanks for sharing

I am helping to plan a wedding for a couple with a Batman theme. It is really awesome since the groom is a graphic designer. Loved seeing this collection.

nice collection epislly love how you have all the jlu figures standing like they are waiting to go into battle.

I don’t know if you realize this, but someone snuck a Superman Returns poster on the wall. You might want to take it down, it’s ruining your geek credibility. :P

Loved you collection especially the Starman figurine!

Lovely. It must have taken a hell lotta time and money to assemble the JLU.

Hands down the neatest and most aesthetically pleasing collection I’ve ever seen on ‘Shelf Porn’, and it also consists of a decent-sized selection of comics, something that is also missing form a lot of submissions on here.

Thanks everyone… Once I bought my first JLU three-pack I knew I had to follow to completion. Once a week I find one on the floor (usually Blue Devil) but they have surprisingly continued to stand tall. Also, Superman Returns is under appreciated.

If you don’t mind me asking, where did you get the spinning rack on top of the detolf that the comics are in?

Random brochure holder that was cast off from work.

Great collection! Thanks for sharing.

Am I the only person who thought “dude, you seriously need to buy a better TV” ?

That TV is only hooked up to old school NES.
