nice collection espically love dark phoenix standing on that little turrent blazing. plus love how you have some of the x-men movie cast autographs.

Nice collection. Very eclectic. I love the collection of x-men busts.

You were doing so well until the Bon Jovi action figures appeared.

That’s one helluvan awesome collection though. I love how organized the shelves are. I love the Cyclops visor.

Cool collection!
Love the Mickey Mouse framed poster.
Where did you get the fists poster of the avengers?

Is that a marijuana plant on page two? Awesome.

Thats a good looking room!
Funny things to note (both Jean Grey related)

1. Eh is that weed in the background of the movie Jean door poster?

2. Is it me or is the Ultimate Jean Grey bust cross eyed?

Why does He-man have anorexia?

@ Grant

Probably the same place I got mine, if you bought The Avengers BD/DVD you could send away for the poster and just pay shipping and handling for it.

@UncannyDerek
i thought the same thing too. wtf is bon jovi doing there?!

I think he’s livin’ on a prayer.

*sigh* Movie posters. Never understood why a geeks put them on the wall. Even if they are good(which in this case doesn’t apply), I’m sure there’d be hundreds, thousands even millions of better comic book art or drawings or aynthing. Not to mention they may not even be representative of their true self. And the shots from the movie with aan autograph is a little too much for me.

Your collection anyway is great. I love Cyclops, Wolverine and the others with those big heads.

Another very fine collections.

Every collection including the Masters of the Universe is cool in my book.

If it would be the originals instead of the 200x series it would be even cooler.

Awesome collection.

@exedotdmg and thejohnscarff

Not sure if you were joking or not, but that’s not what a marijuana plant looks like. A simple googling will reveal that.

Superb collection!

Thanks everyone for the comments. I love and appreciate my whole collection. It’s a 22 year old collection now, and it’s hard to believe it’s been that long since I’ve read my first comic book, and I can remember it like it was yesterday~

@Grant, thennarynak is correct, I got my Avengers poster from the Blu-ray purchase. And I love that Mickey framed art too. My mom bought that for me many years ago and it’s a great quote as well. “Animation can explain whatever the mind of man can conceive!”

@exedotdmg: lol it’s in fact not a marijuana plant. That’s a tree I bought that I’ve had for about 13 years now.

@thejohnscarff: 1: see above, 2: They are and it’s really infuriating I tried to angle it right, but there was no good angle!

@momaw: that’s the 2001 (?) cartoon resculpt.

I wish I could keep all my figures out, and books. But I honestly have too much stuff! The mirrored closet holds about 25 boxes of comics and all my figures. I rotate, but it’s difficult. I’ve toyed around with the idea of selling or donating my collection of DC books.

The Bon Jovi figures… I love Bon Jovi. I’ve been listening to him since I was about 3 years old (I have 3 older sisters) so I’ve been exposed to him literally almost my entire life, and in fact his entire career. If they made Jesse Lacey figure, I’d have him too.

Thanks again for the comments~
Nicholas

Very nice room! I dig the Captain America curtains. And I’ve got the same New Frontier and Avengers posters. :)

AAB,

I’m sorry you have a large chip on your shoulder, but you don’t know me, or anyone else here for that matter. If you don’t like it, don’t buy it. Simple as that. But I’ve learned long ago that someone who has to shit on other people to feel good about themselves, generally they aren’t very happy with themselves. I don’t have to explain the where, when, how or why to you. If you work hard for your money, you can spend it as you please.

Good day~

AAB – Learn to disperse your text with the odd paragraph break. Broken down, your little soap-boxing moment would have been a little easier to consume. I mean, it’d still read like hilariously over-earnest bullsh%& but at least it wouldn’t have seemed like you were copy and pasting your info from Wikipedia…

Anyhoo…

Nicholas – Great collection! If I could recommend anything though it’s that it’s so worth trying to track down some of the NECA Turtles based on the original comics (all red bandanas etc.). Some of the best sculpts and articulation I’ve ever found in an action figure, even the big expensive 1/6 beasts.

Plus, don’t you wish Bandai would release the rest of the Thundercats in that awesome Classic line? Such lush figures. My 9 year-old self could only dream of toys that cool…

AAB’s comment has been deleted. Thanks.

@VibraniumSpork

YES! I want those Turtles pretty badly! I’ve been keeping an eye on them on Ebay recently. Just waiting for the right price to cross my eyes! As for the Thundercats, yes please! Firstly I don’t know how the new toon was canceled (I loved it) and secondly I have don’t understand why they wouldn’t produce more of the classics line! Of course the price points were a little high on those, but very worth it. I wish at least they would have produced a Cheetara figure! That would have been killer!

Nicholas~

@gl3600

Thanks! I made those curtains!!! I also recently bought a new drafting chair and covered the cushion with some retro Batman material! It’s pretty awesome, I love being crafty.

Nice! We have something in common…the bookshelves!

Look at all that plastic in effect -thank god for oil companies, right? Consumerism at its finest. I mean not just in the sense of collecting things that are made from entities like oil companies >>which keep us scrambling in debt ridden fast food car culture running around every day in traffic, sitting in a cubicle having our dignity chipped away at, then back in traffic again, so we can go home and sit in front of our motivation to be a consumer: advertisements disguised at entertainment (which are constantly interrupted with -or if using the Internet then scattered with- commercials). I mean also in the sense that to top it off, like the typical consumer that we are, we build shrines to repetitive predictable plot lines, to stereo type characterization, and things that are only able to wear clothing mainly made up of the three primary colors.

Again I’m amazed at how much control the collector has over his collection compaired to myself.
nice job!

do you think the government controls our minds?

Great room! Your passion for Hot Rod is very relatable! Keep it up!
