Bill shows us Shelf Porn the Chicago way

Thanks Bill! If you’d like to see your collection featured here on Robot 6, here’s what you need to do:

1. Take some photos and save them as jpgs.
2. Write a little something about your collection
3. Send them to me in an email.

Some additional tips:

1. Although we don’t have a minimum or maximum limit on photos, usually 10-15 should suffice. They also don’t need to be huge, so if you can shrink them down so they are less than 1000 x 1000, that would be great. You can help make your collection look nice by being sure to focus, use the right lighting, dust your shelves beforehand, etc.
2. You can either write something up that’ll appear at the beginning of the post, or you can describe each item. Be sure to indicate where each image should be placed within your write-up, but don’t embed the images into a Word doc. Just put the file name in brackets where you want the image to appear.
3. When sending images using something like YouSendIt or DropBox, please keep in mind that I may not get to your submission for a month or more, so make sure you don’t delete them or that they won’t expire.
4. Please include your name (just your first name is fine) and location with your write-up.

Sounds like you can’t wait for that roommate of yours to move out. Nice collection! It’s nice to see one that’s so well rounded.

You sound very passionate, keep it up!!

That’s nice and all, but after the Batcave, I’m not impressed. No offense.

Oh, and nice Jesus statue :)

cool collection espically managing to get a few signed pieces by stan the man himself. and sounds like you and your roommate have reached the point where its time to move on to other things. besides you wanting more space to properly display your collection out in the open more.

Nice collection.

Who did the Batman art with the orange background on your desk next to the Quitely statue?

The fact that you have three autographed Stan Lee comics IMO makes that bat cave irrelevant. If I visited your flat you’d just see me staring at those three frames all day! Good stuff. A nice collection just patiently waiting to be displayed in your very own Man Cave.

Funny thing – I have that same issue of X- Men but autographed by Chris Claremont.

Look forward to seeing your stuff after the flat mate moves out.

Love the collection – you’ve got some great graphic novels.

Now I want to read Bone by Jeff Smith.

Nice collection. I like that you’ve got everything in alphabetical order regardless of publisher.

Thanks for the nice words guys. It was really fun to come home from c2e2 and find my collection here. To be honest I’m not sure who did the Batman art, my Sister got it for me as a gift from a local art show.

For some reason, the phrase “ascend to my bedroom” made me both guffaw and cringe.

First though: nicely organized collection.

Second thought: how tiny is Jim Lee!?!?!?! Unless you’re some kind of giant (and/or Jim was sitting down in that photo) he looks to be almost Lilliputian!

I know what it is like not having a dedicated room for collectibles I live with my parents in an 11 by 11 foot room :/ can’t complain about free living space in my case.

Nice collection. Mine was spotlighted a few weeks back and looks like we have pretty similar tastes.

i used to have a buddy christ
from dogma right?
