Amazon reveals its 10 best comics of the year — so far

marble seasonBecause it’s apparently never too early to get a jump start on best-of-the-year lists, has rolled out a rundown of the best comics and graphic novels of the year so far, led by Gilbert Hernandez’s semi-autobiographical coming-of-age story Marble Season (Drawn and Quarterly). Here’s the full Top 10, arranged according to sales:

  2. Solo: The Deluxe Edition, by various (DC Comics)

Hawkeye is the best monthly. very enjoyable.

Is this an American comics only category?

Andy, if you have some recent foreign works you think are “Best of” worthy I’d love to hear them. I’m always looking for more stuff to keep an eye out for that I don’t come across easily in the states.

Hawkeye is awesome but no#2 next to Daredevil, which should have been included!


No Walking Dead or Daredevil? I certainly would have also put Dynamite’s Shadow up there in the same league as Hawkeye and Solo if you’re including more mainstream fare.

Are they gonna post a Kindle best seller chart? Bought Twisted Dark on it a few weeks ago, and man – it deserves the top spot! Quality reading
