What’s Frank Cho’s secret Marvel project?

Before heading off to Charlotte, North Carolina, for this weekend’s HeroesCon, Frank Cho offers a tantalizing clue to his secret follow-up to Marvel’s Savage Wolverine in the form of a cover detail that clearly shows Emma Frost (in full below), along with what may be Angel in his classic X-Men costume. Those other elements are anybody’s guess.

“Now, people have asked me what’s coming up after my Savage Wolverine run,” Cho writes. “Well, gang, Marvel will announce it soon. In fact, I’ve just received the full script this week and just started drawing it. It’s a doozy.”

This weekend he’ll be at Artists Alley table AA-1503, where maybe you can pry a few more clues from him.

I’m hoping it’s some resolution to the Savage Wolverine story because that ending was total BS if he’s not coming back to address a cliffhanger…

Emma!!! <3 <3 <3

Looks like Xorn on the right.

Maybe he’s going to be pencilling the Battle of the Atom one-shots? Though they’ve already announced those, so this’ll probably be some stand-along project.

Is Frank Cho the guy whose Internet went down overnight and he made it out to be the worst thing in the history of everything?

What is it?

About four issues long, I’d wager.

They’ve already announced he’s drawing the opening oneshot of the Battle of the Atom crossover, and that has a future Xorn in it. I’d say Cho just wasn’t sure what had been said yet and was playing it safe.

@Rollo Tomassi – No. Frank Cho is the writer-artist at Marvel and Image Comics, who likes to draw beautiful women.

Are you the Rollo Tomassi who like to troll on the internet and bad mouth people for no apparent reasons?

More Emma is always good. Even if it only lasts a few issues… that’s a few more issues of Emma.

At Big Wow Con in San Jose last month he said while on a panel that he was drawling from a script from Brian Michael Bendis that involved Sentinels and a large destroyed city scape. Didn’t specify the name of the book but that that was what he was currently working on.

Sweet looking Emma……maybe he’s doing an arc of All New X-Men or Uncanny?

@Frank Cho- lol! That would be correct! Amazing artwork btw.

Looks like it’s from Battle of the Atom. Also, in the Emma image it looks like the other characters are drawn by other artists. Xorn looks like a Kubert, or maybe Art Adams. But I’m not sure, with the signature it would make sense that they’re all Cho. If so, he looks to be evoking other artist’s styles. Kinda like JH Williams on Seven Soldiers did. That would be cool for the opening and ending issues of a crossover.

Like I said, I’m REALLY hoping there’s more of Savage Wolverine. That series was awesome, but the end was a total tease and I’m really hoping he’s coming back. A hardboiled Wolvie in the Savage Land was AWESOME.

Right now, I can name Liberty Meadows, Savage Wolverine, Guns & Dinos, Brutal and the unedited version of Shanna The She-Devil as projects from Cho that I want to see more of (or see in the first place…) and now he’s adding another X-Men project on top of that schedule?

It’s clear now who the first man to be cloned should be…
